EventPipe started as a custom build for a single hyperlocal family-events publisher in Hampton Roads, Virginia. She'd been paying a full-time researcher to copy events into her WordPress site by hand — and she was tired of it.

After about a month of evenings and weekends, the pipeline was running. Now she ships 3-4× the events at roughly 1/10th the cost. The pipeline runs every week, without anyone touching it.

It turns out a lot of publishers are in the same spot. So I'm packaging it.
